Helping Baker Technology Work for You

Nearly all Baker systems use your Baker email address and password to log in.  It is important that you use a secure password that you do not use on other accounts.

Enroll in Access Baker

  • Access Baker gives you full control of your Baker password. Once you enroll and set up your rescue options (phone, other email address, etc.) in Access Baker, you can reset your password yourself if you forget it or change it if you need to (https://ithelpdesk.bakeru.edu/helpdesk/knowledgebase.php?article=3).
  • If you have problems enrolling in Access Baker after following the instructions, please submit an IT ticket at https://www.bakeru.edu/help-desk for help.

Baker Email

  • Students are provided email accounts through Baker University and Office 365.  You can set up your email on your phone (https://ithelpdesk.bakeru.edu/helpdesk/knowledgebase.php?article=6) so that you can keep up with your Inbox.
  • If you have problems connecting, sending or receiving email after following the instructions, please submit an IT ticket at https://www.bakeru.edu/help-desk for help.
  • **If your email is compromised and sending phishing and/or spam emails, we will lock you out of your account. This will prevent you from logging in to all Baker online systems. Submit a ticket immediately if you think this has happened to you!

Free Office 365

  • All Baker students are offered free Microsoft Office products through the university’s license.  You can download the applications through your Baker email account (https://ithelpdesk.bakeru.edu/helpdesk/knowledgebase.php?article=2).  The applications include Word, Powerpoint and Excel. Specialty applications like Access, Visual Studio and Project are not included.

Baker Student Portal

  • Please always go to https://my.bakeru.edu and click on Student Portal Hompage.  We have seen on occasion that some students may bookmark the wrong URL for the student portal.  If you happen to bypass this page (https://my.bakeru.edu), you will be unable to log in.  Some users are stuck in a loop and have trouble getting to the front login page.  If you can’t seem to get the first page (with the Student and Faculty buttons), clear your cache and try again or use an incognito/private browsing window.
  • If you have problems with your student portal, please submit an IT ticket at https://www.bakeru.edu/help-desk for help.

Other IT Help

  • Submit an IT ticket at https://www.bakeru.edu/help-desk for help with any Baker systems. Our IT department is staffed Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
  • Tickets submitted online can often be resolved quickly and with a single communication.
  • **We cannot work on personal devices. We can often make suggestions but for liability reasons we do not work on private equipment.
  • **If you need your password reset, please fill out all identifying information on the ticket.  We won’t reset your password until we can validate that information.
